Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of scanfree.dev (the "Site"), operated by LMR Enterprises, based in California, USA ("scanfree", "we", "us"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

What the Site is today

scanfree is not open yet. The Site is a coming-soon page where you can join a waitlist. The product described on it is planned and may change or never launch. Nothing on the Site is an offer to sell you anything, and joining the waitlist creates no obligation for you or for us.

When the product launches we will publish updated terms covering accounts, the service and payments, and we will ask you to accept them before you use those features.

The waitlist

If you join, you give us your email address so we can tell you when scanfree opens. You must give a real address that you control. We may remove entries that look automated, abusive or fake. You can ask us to remove yours at any time at hello@edwardryan.dev. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle it.

Acceptable use

Do not use the Site to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our servers or other people's data;
• probe, scan or test the Site's security without our written permission;
• overload the Site, or submit the waitlist form by automated means, with fake addresses, or with addresses that are not yours;
• interfere with other people's use of the Site.

If you find a security problem, please tell us at hello@edwardryan.dev rather than exploiting it.

What the product will and will not do

scanfree is being built to show how AI assistants answer questions about businesses like yours, and to suggest improvements. AI answers change from one run to the next and differ between services. Anything we describe about the product is a goal, not a promise. We do not and will not guarantee that any result, change or recommendation will make an AI assistant mention your business, or improve your sales, rankings or traffic.

Our content and your content

The Site, its design, text and the scanfree name and logo belong to us or our licensors. You may view the Site and share links to it, but you may not copy it or use our name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you. Third-party names and trademarks on the Site or in the product belong to their owners; mentioning them does not imply endorsement.

Feedback you send us (for example by email) can be used by us to improve scanfree without obligation to you. You keep ownership of anything else you send.

Links and third parties

The Site may link to other sites, such as the maker's personal site, and uses third-party services such as Cloudflare Turnstile. We are not responsible for other people's sites or services, and their terms and policies apply to them.

No warranty

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Site will always be available, error-free or secure.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, scanfree and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to US$100. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

Changes and termination

We may change the Site or these terms at any time. We will update the date above, and for changes that matter we will notify waitlist members by email. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new terms. We may suspend or end access to the Site at any time, and you may stop using it at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your home courts.
